The Ministry of Industry and Trade makes available to the general public information on the current coverage of basic settlement units (BSU) and on the possibilities of connecting to the Internet in all address points of buildings in the Czech Republic.
Access to information on the Internet connection options at all address points in the Czech Republic is provided on the Internet via an interactive map. The application graphically interprets the possibilities of connecting to the Internet characterised by the expected speed.
According to the requirements of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Czech Telecommunication Office annually collects information from registered operators of telecommunications networks and services on the availability of the Internet connection at all address points in buildings in the Czech Republic.
In order to be able to publish the information, it is completely anonymised, both in terms of technological neutrality requirements and in terms of the operators of the Internet access services.
The published data are based on an analysis of data collected by CTO in early 2021. They come from data submitted by individual registered operators of telecommunications networks and services. The data have not been modified in any way by either CTO or MIT. To date, no public consultation or on-the-spot investigation has been carried out to verify their credibility. At the same time, it should be noted that this publication does not replace a public consultation designed to verify the credibility of stated information.
